How Afzal made the CRISPR Foundations Certificate a stepping stone into a new career

Meet Afzal! After completing his Masters in Biotechnology, he wanted to get a job at a biotechnology institution that aligned with his passion for genetic engineering and cancer biology. But he had little educational or professional experience in the field of gene editing. To overcome this, he enrolled in CRISPR Foundations and began building a foundational knowledge in the genome engineering field. Afzal now works as a Researcher at the Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research, and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) and shares his journey below. He was asked to speak in his native Indian dialect to showcase the diversity of students we serve around the world!
